Nominations round is now closed for 2020, and the official voting round will be announced soon.
Many notable artists have taken home the Texas Music Award and have performed during our festivities. Some of these artists include Kacey Musgraves, Michael Martin Murphey, Lloyd Maines, Shake Russell, Hayes Carll, Pauline Reese, Michael Hearne, Wade Bowen, and much more. See eligibility.
Nominations for the Texas Music Awards will ended in February, 2020. The program is not genre-centric, so all production categories do not have a genre requirement such as Country, Americana, or Rock, for instance.
Founders of the Texas Music Awards, Jinelle and Lucky Boyd helped bring independent Texas music to the forefront. Now the next generation keeps the movement going. Expect new announcements during the beginning of 2020 and get ready for more great music experiences from the Texas Music Awards program!
Texas Music Award recipients will be revealed when announced at the awards event which will be announced after the closing of nominations.
